Safety Evaluation/Contraindications
Do not use during pregnancy and lactation. Arbutin in Uva Ursi is converted to hydroxyquinone in the urine with a toxicity that may occur at doses equivalent to 1/2 ounce of fresh leaf. A kidney infection is a serous condition that requires medical supervision and should not be treated with this formula alone.*
